SUMMARY

When you format the boot partition while performing a clean install of Microsoft Windows Millennium (Me), if files from the multiple partitions on the hard disk are deleted and sent to the Recycle Bin, the files remain in the Recycle Bin after the installation is complete.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior is different from that which occurs in Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows 98. In Windows 9x, you do not have any files left in the Recycle Bin from other partitions after performing a clean install of Windows Me.

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition
