System File Protection Unable to Restore Rnanp.dll

SYMPTOMS

When viewing Sfplog.txt, you may receive the following error message showing that System File Protection (SFP) is unable to restore Rnanp.dll:
CRITICAL: [07/04/2000 23:32:58:980] SFP cannot restore file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\rnanp.dll back

CAUSE

The file Rnanp.dll is not present in Microsoft Windows Millennium; however, SFP still monitors it. When a version of Rnanp.dll is installed by an application, SFP attempts to restore it from the cabs and fails.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
