Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry
SYMPTOMS
When you install the Drive Share tool included in the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit on Terminal Server Client 4.0, you may
receive the following error message:
Registry Editor cannot import drive:\path\drmapclt.reg: The specified file is not a registry script.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because programs earlier than Windows 2000 use a different header for the Windows Registry Editor on Terminal Server Client.
In addition, limited functionality exists between Unicode 1.x and 2.0.
RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk. To work around this issue, follow these steps:

Microsoft has confirmed this behavior to be an issue with the Drive Share utility included in the Microsoft Windows 2000 Resource Kit.
