SYMPTOMS
When you run a Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) package or open it in the DTS Package Designer, you may receive the following error message:
Title: Package Error Error Source : Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package Error Description : The system cannot find the file specified.
Error: -2147287038 (80030002); Provider Error: 0 (0) Error string: The system cannot find the file specified. Error source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package Help file: sqldts.hlp Help context: 713 CAUSE
One possible reason for this error is that you used the SQL Server 2000 Package Designer to create and save the package.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 3 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0.
