When you assign a home folder to a user, the new information is not set to the user account and you may receive the following error message:
The home folder could not be created because: Access is denied.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because only certain error messages are handled and permitted for the home folder that you created when you assign a home folder to a user. If the error message is not handled or permitted, the information is not updated in Active Directory.
RESOLUTION
The snap-in is updated in this hotfix so that the account information is updated and a warning message is displayed to the administrator that the folder must be manually created.
