STOP 0x0000001E Error in CDA1000.sys Occurs with Adaptec AAA-133U2 RAID Controller

SYMPTOMS

When you are trying to use an Adaptec AAA-133U2 RAID Controller in your Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, the following blue-screen STOP error may occur:

STOP 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0xBFF74B4E, 0x00000000,0x00000000)
Kmode_Exception_Not_Handled Address BFF74B4E @ BFF440000 cda1000.sys

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the Adaptec AAA-133U2 RAID Controller is not using a driver supported by Windows 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, contact Adaptec, which has released a supported driver for Windows 2000. See:
