SUMMARY

You can connect to Hotmail mailboxes to send, read, move and delete Hotmail messages in OUtlook 2002. Hotmail features banner advertising, which is displayed in Outlook 2002, while you view Hotmail folders.

MORE INFORMATION

The Hotmail e-mail service is free to all users, and the service relies on advertising to support itself. Displaying Hotmail advertising while you view Hotmail folders in Outlook 2002 helps to ensure that Hotmail will continue to be offered as a free service. While you view any Hotmail folder, an advertising pane appears along the left side of the Message list to download and display Hotmail advertising. Additionally, a navigation pane appears above the Message list with links to other MSN, The Microsoft Network, Web sites. These panes only appear when you view Hotmail folders, and you cannot disable or configure these advertising panes.

Outlook 2002 does not display these panes while you work offline.
