Internet Time Feature Is Not Available When a Computer Is a Domain Member

SYMPTOMS

On a Windows XP-based computer, the Internet Time tab does not appear in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Windows XP-based computer is a member of a domain. The Internet Time feature is only available in workgroup environments.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, synchronize the computer's time with time sources that are available in its domain.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
