Terminal Services Client Is Not Updated When Service Pack 1 Is Installed

SYMPTOMS

The Windows 2000 Terminal Services client computer is not updated when you install Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Service Pack Installer (Update.exe) only updates the Terminal Services client if it is present at its default location, which is Program Files\Terminal Services Client.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.
