On a computer that runs Windows 2000 Professional and has a Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 722C printer attached, when you try to install a printer driver for Microsoft Windows NT version 4.0 so that you can share the printer with a computer that runs Windows NT 4.0, you may be prompted for the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server CD-ROM. The prompt appears after you click the Sharing tab in the HP DeskJet 722C Properties dialog box and then click Additional Drivers. The prompt also appears if you try to install a printer driver for Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98 in Windows 2000. CAUSE
This issue occurs because it is the Windows 2000 Server CD-ROM that includes the needed printer drivers, in the \Printers\Nt4\Ntprint.inf file.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, insert the Windows 2000 Server CD-ROM in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive to install the printer drivers for Windows NT 4.0. If the Windows 2000 Server CD-ROM is not available, follow these steps:
