This article was previously published under Q328934 On This PageSYMPTOMSIf more than one user is logged on to your Microsoft Windows XP-based computer and if the Fast User Switching feature is enabled, Windows may unexpectedly stop responding (hang) when you log off. The welcome screen is not displayed, and the screen is black. If you press any one of the following keyboard shortcuts, nothing happens:
CAUSEThis problem may occur if a program is running in the context of another user who is logged on to the computer. For example, this problem may occur if all the following conditions are true, in the order that they are presented in:
