hibernation more than one time in a session, your computer does not stand-by or
hibernate as expected. Instead, it stops responding (hangs) while displaying a
"Preparing to hibernate" or "Preparing to stand-by" message. CAUSE This issue may occur if a Nero CD-burning program from
Ahead Software AG installed is installed on your computer. The Nero Burning ROM program (versions 5 through 5.5) uses a driver that interferes with the stand-by and hibernate functions of Windows XP SP1. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, remove the Nero program from your
computer. To do this, follow these steps:
