FIX: QASF Update Improves the User Experience for Windows Media Player Content

SYMPTOMS

This article discusses the following two problems:
  • Under certain circumstances, when the connection between pins in a graph is broken, the graph does not correctly reset the pixel aspect ratio and plays back the content at a ratio that is not correct.
  • When you use delta-frame encoding, playback may not render correctly.

    Note This problem should not affect playback of content in Microsoft Windows Media Player. This problem only affects playback in players that render Windows Media content by using the Microsoft DirectShow WM ASF Reader filter (QASF).
