When you try to schedule a job on a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-based computer by using the at command from a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
When you try to schedule a job on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer or on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer by using the at command from a Windows XP-based computer that is in an untrusted domain, you may receive the following error message:
The authentication service is unknown.
Access is denied.
This problem may occur if one of the following conditions is true:

To work around the problem where you cannot schedule a job on an untrusted Windows 2000-based computer or on an untrusted Windows Server 2003-based computer from a Windows XP-based computer after you install the KB831003 hotfix, use one of the following methods.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
