Symptoms

When your computer resumes from standby, you occasionally receive the following Stop error message:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer...
Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x0000000C, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xF96C49ED)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Note The four parameters in this error message may vary, depending on the cause of the Stop error.

Cause

This issue may occur if both the following conditions are true:
  • You are running the Sygate Personal Firewall program on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).
  • Your computer remains on standby for a long time before it resumes.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, contact Sygate to determine if an update available for the Sygate Personal Firewall program. To obtain technical support for the Sygate Personal Firewall program, visit the following Web site:
