SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You upgrade Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services. You use SQL Server Management Studio to browse a migrated cube. In this scenario, you may notice that a parent/child dimension contains duplicate calculated members under all the top-level members. When you browse a cube and display more than one top-level member, you may experience more problems. For example, the calculated members may be displayed under the wrong parent member. Additionally, the custom rollup Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query in the time dimension may not work.
