Bug #: 405353 (SQLBUDT)
When you install a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 failover cluster on a node, you may receive the following error message:
The drive specified cannot be used for program location. Program files must be installed on a valid local disk available on all cluster nodes. The valid values are Drive1:, Drive2:
This problem occurs because you installed the SQL Server 2005 failover cluster by using an account that is not a member of the Administrators group on one or more of the other cluster nodes.
To resolve this problem, you must make sure that the domain account that you use to run the SQL Server Setup program is a member of the Administrators group on all cluster nodes.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
