Mailboxes do not follow E-mail Lifecycle (ELC) configuration or storage limitation policies in Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1

Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) supports managed custom folders that have E-mail Lifecycle (ELC) configuration or storage limitations. However, the ELC settings do not work after you move mailboxes.

For example, typically, if you check the managed custom folders in Outlook or in Outlook Web Access (OWA), you find the indicator "<percent> of <storage limit>" for managed custom folders. However, when this problem occurs, the "<percent> of <storage limit>" remains at zero percent (0%).

To resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 9 for Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1.

Note You must install this hotfix before you move any managed folders. When the hierarchy is broken, it has to be repaired and a repair of the database is necessary to fix the issue that is caused by this bug.
