SYMPTOMS

On a computer that is running Terminal Services, you try to use a push operation to install Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 Agent. However, the operation times out. Therefore, the System Center Operations Manager 2007 Agent is not installed successfully.

You may receive an error message that resembles the following:
The MOM Server could not execute WMI Query "Select * from Win32_Environment where NAME='PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE'" on computer "computername".
Operation: Agent Install
Error Code: 80004005
Error Description: Unspecified error

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the information in the WMI Win32_Environment class on the computer that is running Terminal Services cannot be read before the time-out occurs.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, you must install the System Center Operations Manager 2007 Agent manually. For information about how to do this, view the "How to Deploy the Operations Manager 2007 Agent Using MOMAgent.msi from the Command Line" topic in the Operations Manager 2007 Help file.

STATUS
