Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home (see Determining your Office version).
Improvements and fixes
This update fixes the following issues:

When a document is saved through a UI automation process, Word 2016 intermittently crashes.

Outlook 2016 crashes when you handle email messages, such as receiving and sending email messages.
To fix the following issue in Outlook 2016, you need to install this update (KB4462145) together with KB4462147:
An attachment in an Outlook custom form can't be dragged and dropped onto your desktop or other email items.
