The Rich Edit Control May Display Documents with Right or Center Tabs IncorrectlyArticle ID: 813870 - View products that this article applies to. On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you are editing a document in a program that uses the Rich
Edit control, the tabs may be misaligned. For example, if there is a right-aligned tab or a
center-aligned tab on a line, you cannot use another left-aligned
tab correctly on the same line. CAUSEWith the Rich Edit control version 4.1 and earlier, the \txN token does not reset the tab
type, and the \tql token (a left-aligned tab) is ignored. After a \tqr token (a right-aligned tab) or a \tqc
token (a center-aligned tab) occurs, you cannot use a left-aligned tab on the same
line. RESOLUTIONWindows XPService pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:322389
