Issue 1

BizTalk Server 2004 does not work with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-based domains or Microsoft Windows 2000-based domains that are running in Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access mode. Installation of BizTalk Server 2004 into a domain is only supported on a Microsoft Active Directory domain environment that is running in Windows 2000 native mode or later.

Issue 2

The BizTalk Server 2004 Administration Console may stop working intermittently on Windows 2000. If you experience this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support services and request hotfix # 828756 to resolve this issue. Issue 3

BizTalk Server 2004 may experience a memory leak if you use a Receive Port that is bound to a Receive location that uses the Microsoft Message Queuing (also known as MSMQT) Transport. This issue occurs only if BizTalk Server is installed on Windows Server 2000. If you experience this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support services and request hotfix # 829977 to resolve this issue. Issue 4

Your server computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 may stop unexpectedly and you may receive an error message on a blue screen that is similar to one of the following messages:

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Message 3
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Issue 5

If your computer that is running BizTalk Server 2004 is configured to make OLAP connections to a remote OLAP database, you may experience excessive delays when BizTalk Server tries to retrieve data from the remote OLAP database. If you experience this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support services and request hotfix # 833980 to resolve this issue. Issue 6

You may receive a Microsoft SQL Server log on failure error message if you run an Orchestration that contains rules. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Issue 7

You select or clear the Authentication trusted check box for a BizTalk host to enable or disable this setting. However, although the change that you made appears to have been applied, you receive an error message in the BizTalk Server application log and the change that you made has not been applied. Issue 8

If any BizTalk Server 2004 tools are running when you remove BizTalk Server 2004, you may have to restart your computer after the removal process has completed. This issue occurs because the Setup program cannot gain exclusive access to any executable files or DLLs that are already running when you start to remove BizTalk Server 2004. To avoid having to restart your computer, close any BizTalk Server 2004 tools before you remove BIzTalk Server 2004.
