value, rather than the new value, after you change the focus from the control
to another area of the screen, or after you refresh the display. For example, if a combo box is initialized with the value "January", and then you change the selection to "February", the value "January" appears in the control after you click out of the control. CAUSE This problem only occurs when you open the workbook by
using a hyperlink. Excel opens a file from a hyperlink differently from the way
it opens a file from a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path or a mapped
drive. RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain the latest
service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the
