Symptoms
When you frequently use the Staging API to edit or query a staging project in Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 or Microsoft Commerce Server 2009, a memory leak occurs in a Commerce Server Staging component. When this issue occurs, the Commerce Server Staging service might crash after a while.
Additionally, an event that resembles the following is logged in the System log:
Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. If this section does not appear, submit a request to Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the hotfix.

Note You must locate to the Commerce Server installation folder, and then run the following command after you install this hotfix:
csconfig /r Feature.MS.CS.CsStaging
Prerequisites
To apply this hotfix, you must have Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 installed.
Restart requirement
You must restart the Commerce Server Staging service after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix does not replace a previously released hotfix.
