Symptoms
Assume that you have a Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based server that is running Network Policy Server (NPS). Sometimes, the server that is running NPS applies an incorrect network policy when clients reauthenticate. This may cause clients to lose connectivity.Â
Cause
The issue occurs because of a race condition when multiple threads are involved in policy matching.
