Symptoms

Assume that you try to run an application in a RemoteApp environment in which a child window is running in a separate thread in Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012. Sometimes, the child window becomes blank if the application calls the RedrawWindow function.Note When you try to resize, minimize, or maximize the window, or you hover over the window elements, this issue can be worked around.

How to obtain this update or hotfix

To resolve this issue, we have released hotfixes for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, and released updates for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 .The update rollup fixes many other issues in addition to the issue that the hotfix fixes. We recommend that you use the update rollup. The update rollup is larger than the hotfix. Therefore, the update rollup takes longer to download.
