Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have installed Microsoft SQL Server 2014 failover cluster instance on one node.
-
You use the instance name in SQL Server Database Engine and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
-
You start SSRS before you start the SQL Server Database Engine.
-
You add a second node in the failover cluster.
In this scenario, you cannot move the SQL Server resource from the first node to the second node. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
Server Error: 8310、Severity: 16、Status: 1。
Server Cannot create (or open) named file mapping object 'Global\SQL_110_MEMOBJ_24_MSSQLSERVER_0'. SQL Server performance counters are disabled. Server Error: 3409、Severity: 16、Status: 1。 Server Performance counter shared memory setup failed with error -1. Reinstall sqlctr.ini for this instance, and ensure that the instance login account has correct registry permissions.
