When you try to connect to the Microsoft Windows Update Web site or to the Microsoft Update Web site, you receive the following error code:
This issue occurs if the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) service does not receive a content link header. This issue can also occur if you are currently using a proxy that does not support the HTTP/1.1 protocol.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps.
Note If step 1 resolves this issue, you do not need to proceed to step 2.
