Workaround for Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2
To work around this issue, use the Adsiedit.msc tool or the Ldp.exe tool to find the target OU. Then, paste the OU name into the Organizational Unit field in the Targeting Editor dialog box.
Open the Group Policy Management Console (Gpmc.msc) snap-in.
Right-click a Group Policy object that you want to configure, and then click Edit.
Expand Computer Configuration, expand Preferences, and then expand Windows Settings.
Create a new registry item. To do this, right-click Registry, click New, and then click Registry Item.
The New Registry Properties dialog box appears. On the Common tab, click to select the Item-level targeting check box, and then click the Targeting button.
The Targeting Editor dialog box appears. Click New Item, and then click Organizational Unit.
Next to the Organizational Unit field, click the ellipsis button (...).
The Find Custom Search dialog box appears.
However, the Find Now button, the Stop button, and the Clear All button are missing from the Custom Search tab or from the Advanced tab.
