In this scenario, a System.NullReferenceException exception occurs, and then Visual Studio 2010 crashes. Additionally, you may receive the following error message: TF50316: The following name is not valid. Verify that the name does not exceed the maximum character limit, only contains valid characters, and is not a reserved name Note This issue does not occur if you connect to a TFS 2008 server in Visual Studio 2010 or if you connect to a TFS 2010 server in Visual Studio 2010 SP1.
