Symptoms

Assume that you upgrade Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 to Microsoft SQL Server 2012 on a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) site server. Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 may run some store procedures that contain the RAISERROR statement, which uses an old syntax that resembles the following:

Raiserror 99903 'This is not a valid group' cannot run wellHowever, Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 does not successfully run the stored procedures.

Cause

This issue occurs because of a syntax error when Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 runs store procedures.

Resolution

This hotfix also fixes the following issue:Consider the following scenario. You are running Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3. You have a Reporting Services point installed, and Microsoft SQL Server 2012 is configured as the site database. In this scenario, the following status message is reported frequently in the Site System Status:

SRS is not installed or properly configured on SRS Reporting point server "<servername>"
