Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a model deployment package that contains more than 100,000 rows.

  • You try to deploy the package by using the MDSModelDeploy tool (MDSModelDeploy.exe) in Microsoft SQL Server 2012.

In this scenario, although the MDSModelDeploy tool runs for some time, it does not deploy, and it returns a SystemOutOfMemory error.

Cause

The issue occurs because, by default, the SwitchValue option is set to All in the MDSModelDeploy.exe.config file. Therefore, the deployment application tries to log everything. This causes the exception.
