Users cannot access removable devices after you enable and then disable a Group Policy setting in Windows Server 2008, in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2
Assume that you deny access to removable devices by using a Group Policy setting in a domain environment. For example, you enable the following Group Policy setting:
User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\System\Removable Storage Access\CD and DVD: Deny read access
When you disable the Group Policy setting that you enabled, users cannot access removable devices on client computers that are running Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
