To open Windows Update, follow these steps:
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (Or, if you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.)
- Tap Settings. (Or, if you are using a mouse, click Settings.)
- In the search box, type Windows Update.
- Tap or click Install optional updates.

The English (United States) version of this update uses a Microsoft Windows Installer package to install the update.
