When you try to print a document on a shared network printer, the print operation is unsuccessful. In this situation, you receive the following error message:

We have released updates for Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012, or Windows 8, and we have released hotfixes for Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows 7.

Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft Support. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Prerequisites
To apply this hotfix, you must have Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 installed, or you must have update 2919355 installed for Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2.
