WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, type MSSQLSERVER in the Named Instance box on the Instance Configuration page during setup. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1.
