Introduction

Update Rollup 5 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in this update rollup.

This rollup is available for all languages that are supported by Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013.

Windows Update installation

Use Windows Update to automatically install Update Rollup 5 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1. This update rollup will be available on Windows Update in Q1 of calendar year 2018.

You can configure Windows to automatically install recommended updates. This setting addresses non-critical problems and helps improve your computing experience. Optional updates are not downloaded or installed automatically when you use this setting.

  To install Update Rollup 5 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 by using Windows Update, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, and then type "Update" in the Start Search box.

  2. In the list of results, click Windows Update.

  3. In the navigation pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows checks for the latest updates for your computer.

  4. If you receive a message that states that important updates are available or that prompts you to review important updates, select the check boxes for any updates that you want to install, and then click OK.

    Note Click any update for more information.

  5. Click Install updates.

  6. Read and accept the license terms, and then click Finish (if the update requires this action). If you are prompted to enter an administrator password, type the password. Confirm that you accept the terms if you are prompted to do this.

Manual installation

To manually install Update Rollup 5 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the following Microsoft Update Catalog website:

  2. In the Search box, type "4018582", and then click Search.

  3. Click Add to add the update to the basket.

  4. Click Download.

  5. Click Browse, specify the folder to which you want to download the update, and then click OK.

  6. Click Continue, and then click I Accept to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms.

  7. When the update is downloaded to the location that you specified, click Close.

Additional installation information

  • After you install this update rollup, exit any active Microsoft Dynamics CRM sessions, and then start a new Microsoft Dynamics CRM session.

  • When you deprovision a language pack, the language settings of all Microsoft Dynamics CRM users who are using that language will revert to the default language settings. The reprovisioning process does not update the language settings of users. Therefore, users must reset their language settings in the personal options section when they log on to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1.

Restart requirement If you are prompted to restart the computer, do this after you apply the update rollup.

Removal information You can uninstall Update Rollup 5 from a server that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1. However, make sure that you backup your databases before you uninstall Update Rollup 5. For more information, go to the following Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) websites:

Update Rollup 5 for Service Pack 1 resolves the following issues:

  • E-mail Article option does not populate the article in the body of e-mails.

  • Date format is changed from DD/MM/YYY to MM/DD/YYYY after new records are imported.

  • Activities that are converted to Opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook do not show as Completed.

  • The SDK step "addOnSave" is triggered regardless of whether a record is saved or not.

  • After re-importing an activity to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 with updated attributes to re-open some activities, the updates are not applied.

  • An error occurs when navigating back to a previous page.

  • Fields change to “[Object:Object}” when created in Outlook and modified in the CRM organization.

  • Fields with field-level security enabled are not visible for new users.

  • The error "The set of folders cannot be opened. {StoreNotConfigured}" occurs when navigating to an entity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • Fields that are business required and read-only fail validation on Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Mobile.

  • Performance issues may occur from calls to messagebar.asmx when a user belongs to many groups in the CRM organization.

  • An error occurs while attempting to insert a template into an e-mail.

  • Converting an E-mail to a Lead does not apply an e-mail duplication rule.

  • E-mail recipients are automatically sorted alphabetically after sending an e-mail from Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

  • Custom security roles will not remain for users on a child business unit after a performing a “Re-parent Business Unit” action.

  • Missing translation labels for sub-grids may cause Outlook to hang while using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • When uploading a file to SharePoint, the window appears to be stuck at “Loading”.

  • “Generic Error” occurs instead of the exception defined in plug-ins.

  • Unable to update translations for a custom button placed on the ribbon.

  • An error does not occur in Update Rollup 4 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 when attempting to add a user to a team they are already a member of.

  • A “Duplicate Record” error occurs while attempting to add multiple users to a team.

  • When exporting a solution that contains an SLA record, the process happens multiple times.

  • An error occurs when attempting a data import with State Code and Status Code.

  • A script error occurs when attempting to use a custom navigation link on a form.

  • “Condition” field values disappear when customizing a system view of an entity with more group conditions.

  • A deadlock occurs when assemblies are loaded by each thread.

  • The default "Case Summary Table" report displays a GUID instead of the name of the user under "Filter Summary".

  • Duplicate detection of appointments is only triggered if there is a scheduling conflict.

  • Duration calculation for a Service Activity is incorrect when using different time zones at the start and end times.

  • E-mail notification messages are not displayed in the user's local language.

  • E-mail Router experiences delays when sending e-mails and creating drafts.

  • E-mails sent from an unresolved sender to a queue via the CC field with the To field empty are not tracked by the E-mail Router.

  • Form elements that require a specific format, value, or length do not provide this information within the element's label.

  • The horizontal scroll bar becomes unavailable when a personal wall Web Resource is added to the dashboard.

  • Unable to choose a candidate by selecting down in a Quick Find bar while using the Bopomofo IME layout.

  • Labels of horizontal axis option set categories are sorted incorrectly.

  • A white space character appears under the URL in a Web Resource.

  • Adding multiple lines of filter criteria for a report filter page causes the “Run Report” button to disappear.

  • While using Safari on a mobile device, users are able to edit a required field when it is set to read-only.

  • The error “Object does not support property or method '$find'” occurs when clicking on the results button twice in advanced find.

  • When the total page count is not present on a sub-grid, the pagination footer disappears.

  • Appointment attendees disappear when resolving unresolved entries.

  • The progress bar is missing when opening an Opportunity record in offline mode while using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • During an organization import, the “PublishResourceGroup” action is slow.

  • Recently viewed items do not appear when using the Danish/Swedish language packs for Microsoft Windows 10.

  • Web resources do not appear when added to the right end of iframe.

  • Sales entities are unintentionally added to the “New Record” dropdown in “What's New".

  • A script error occurs when clicking save on an appointment that contains a sub-grid.

  • The scroll bar length is not properly changed when a window is re-sized.

  • An error occurs attempting to save a new record in offline mode while using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook

  • An error occurs when attempting to click “Set” while changing the format of a Marketing List form.

  • Users are unable to disable other users in a team even though they have the “prvDisableUser” privilege.

  • The "Lists for Campaign" view does not populate all available column values.

  • The number of displayed resources in a resource group is limited to 5000.

  • Tracking a new e-mail with the E-mail Router creates a contact with the e-mail address but not the name.

  • Tracking an e-mail into CRM organization with a restricted user account fails.

  • An error occurs when performing “Set Regarding” on an already tracked e-mail while using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • An error occurs when attempting to add notes and attachments for Activities from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • Unable to change the label name in a managed solution.

  • Unable to delete a Quote, Order, or Invoice Product from a Product entity sub-grid.

  • Unable to navigate to the "My Activities" sub-menu using the keyboard.

  • Unable to open a record in a new window when right clicking on an associated record.

  • Unable to save Appointment entity records after adding items to a sub-grid on the Appointment form.

  • URL encoding differs between sub-grids and forms.

  • Web resource height is not set properly.

  • Weekly numbers appear incorrect on charts for the “English (United States)” format.

  • All active activities of an organization are exported when attempting to export only the related activities of an entity record to Microsoft Excel.

  • Users are unable to scroll through an e-mail after opening “E-mail Activities” using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook on Microsoft Windows 7.

  • The E-mail Router fails to process emails from a POP3 account.

  • An XML error occurs when refreshing the notes pane in CRM.

  • The error “Microsoft Office Outlook is not installed” occurs when installing Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook on a click-to-run installation of Microsoft Office 2016.

  • The “Add” and “Action” options do not function in the documents sub-grid in CRM.

  • “Duplicate detection error” does not occur when creating duplicate Lead records.

  • An error occurs when attempting to export a Marketing List dynamic workbook to Microsoft Excel.

  • Unable to copy from sub-grids on a form.

  • Performance issues may occur when attempting to view objects in “Customize the System”.

  • An “Invalid Argument” error occurs when attempting to update the e-mail address for a queue.

  • An error occurs when selecting an Account entity record from a Contact entity record.

  • Selecting “Refresh from CRM” in a dynamic Excel workbook causes the "Currency" and "Date and Time" cells to become corrupted.

  • Corrected daylight savings time for the Turkish time zone.

  • E-mails are delivered multiple times using Server Side Synchronization.

  • Notes are not visible on a record when using Safari.

  • User-created system views do not appear in the view selection dropdown of a Quick Campaign.

  • After enabling security roles on a business process flow, the “Security” page disappears.

 

Update Rollup 5 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 contains no hotfixes or updates that you must configure manually.
