KB2963377 - FIX: Exception and access violation occurs when you run an MDX calculation in SSAS 2012

Symptoms

Assume that you use a Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) calculation in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012). Some calculation members are defined with non-existent tuples. When you run this MDX calculation, you receive an unexpected exception. Additionally, an access violation occurs.

To work around this issue, add a format string (FORMAT_STRING="").

Resolution

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.
