KB2891083 - FIX: Expressions for default values in parameters are run only one time in SSRS 2012 or SSRS 2014 in SharePoint Integrated mode

Applies To
SQL Server 2012 Developer SQL Server 2012 Enterprise SQL Server 2012 Standard SQL Server 2014 Developer - duplicate (do not use) SQL Server 2014 Enterprise - duplicate (do not use) SQL Server 2014 Standard - duplicate (do not use)

This hotfix applies to Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services (SSRS 2012) and SQL Server 2014 Reporting Services (SSRS 2014).

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You configure Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services (SSRS 2012) or SQL Server 2014 Reporting Services (SSRS 2014) to run in SharePoint Integrated mode.
  • You have a report together with parameters that have expression-based default values.
  • You create a subscription for the report.
  • A "Use Default" option is not displayed for the parameters on the subscription properties page.

In this scenario, the expressions for the default values are evaluated only one time. Additionally, older values are used instead of the expressions for the default values when the subscription is run again.
