Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You use Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Reporting Services (SSRS 2016).
  • In the report, you put a TextBox inside a rectangle and set a long text for the TextBox.
  • In default configuration, the TextBox and the rectangle grow together. However, when you set rc:Toolbar=False, you may notice that the rectangle does not grow vertically together with the internal TextBox in the report.
  • You can view the report by using Web Portal or Report Server.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:

Cumulative Update 3 for SQL Server 2016 SP2

Cumulative Update 10 for SQL Server 2016 SP1
