Symptoms
Assume that you use the Master Data Services Add-in for Microsoft Excel to connect to Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Master Data Services. You open one or more MDS entities, and then you save and close the workbook. In this situation, when you reopen the workbook, you receive an exception that resembles the following:
