Symptoms
Assume that you generate an independent software vendor (ISV) license that contains limited number of users and load the license to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. When you start Microsoft Dynamics AX client, you receive the following error message:
Note
The user count for ISV license License_name has been exceeded. Please renew the ISV license or uninstall the solution.
Cause
This problem occurs because the system does not correctly check the number of users on the ISV license.

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
