Symptoms
SNA Manager displays "Status Unavailable" for a server that is currently active.
Cause
In certain, rare situations, this problem occurs because there is a deadlock in a shared memory area that prevents the SNA Manage Agent services from sending status updates to the SNA Manage Client process.

The fix that resolves this problem is included in the following cumulative updates for Host Integration Server:
Cumulative Update 3 for Host Integration Server 2016
Cumulative update package 5 for Host Integration Server 2013.
