Symptoms
When the BizTalk Adapter for WebSphere MQ (MQSC Adapter) fails with a specific error, the BizTalk receive location is disabled. Here's the error message:
Note
The receive location "<FilePath>" with URL "<FilePath>" is shutting down. Details:"Encounter MQException getting message from Queue [<QueueName>] on Queue Manager [<QueueManagerName>] with ReasonCode = 2016".
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for Host Integration Server:
Cumulative Update 5 for Host Integration Server 2016
Cumulative Update 1 for Host Integration Server 2020
