Introduction

This article describes an update that improves the messaging in certain dialog boxes in Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008R2, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012.

Resolution

This update changes the text in several dialog boxes that are presented when you try to run executable files. These changes should help you make more informed decisions about which files you should run or should not run.

Note This update will take effect only if update 2792100 is installed on the computer.
