XPS printing fails if your preferred printer settings have decimal data in Windows

Applies To
Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials Windows Server 2012 R2 Foundation Windows 8.1 Enterprise Windows 8.1 Pro Windows 8.1 Windows RT 8.1

Cause

This issue occurs because the printer uses the MSxpsPCL6 and MSxpsPS filters. The decimal parsing code in MSxps filter code parses the decimal value incorrectly. Therefore, the print job fails, and a zero-size .prn file is generated.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, we have released a hotfix that has prerequisites.
