Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
- You install Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.5 on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
- You have an application that calls the CommitChanges method of the Microsoft.Web.Administration namespace ServerManager class.
- You run the application to commit IIS configuration changes.
In this scenario, some IIS configuration changes are not updated.
Note The issue typically occurs when many configuration changes occur quickly from multiple threads (for example, in a Microsoft SharePoint site-provisioning scenario).
