Record and send up to a minute of video in Teams Chat. To create a video file to save, use Teams for the web to record a clip in the Chat with yourself area. For more on that, see Start a self chat.

In chat, select
Actions and apps in the reply field on the right and choose Record a video clip. -
Select the white circle to record. The center turns red while you're recording.

Record your clip. Select the circle when done and choose Review to review the recording.
If you record the full 60 seconds, Teams automatically takes you to the next screen. -
If it looks good, select Continue and then Send
. Otherwise choose Back to do it over.

This workaround allows you to record and transcribe a longer video or audio.
Create a meeting with just yourself using

Select
Calendar, and choose Meet now in the upper right corner and follow the prompts. -
Select Start meeting. In the preview dialog, set up your video and audio and choose Join now.

In the Invite people to join you screen, select X to close it.

When you're ready, select the ellipsis (...) in the meeting control bar and choose Record and transcribe > Start recording.

You're live now, record what you'd like. When you're done go to the ellipsis (...), select Stop recording, and then Stop.

Select
Leave and exit. -
Open the Teams chat that's associated with the meeting in Teams for the web. When the recording appears, select the ellipsis (...) and choose Open.

In the streaming window, select the ellipsis (...) in the upper left, choose
Download, and then Download again.
Your video is saved to your Downloads folder. It is only the .MP4 video, without the transcript, chat window, or anything else.
