What it does

AI in SharePoint can help you create views in a SharePoint document library or list by using information derived from file content or item metadata.

Views let you see the same files in different ways by filtering, grouping, or sorting based on available columns.

How to use it

  1. Go to the SharePoint document library or list where you want to create a view.

  2. Open AI in SharePoint using the Floating Button.

  3. Use AI in SharePoint to create or populate columns - based on file content in libraries or item metadata in lists.

  4. Create a new view that uses those columns.

  5. Save the view.

What to expect

  • Views do not duplicate or move files or items.

  • Views only change how files or items are displayed.

  • You can switch between views at any time.

  • Existing permissions and access controls continue to apply
