How to edit in the DAX Copilot mobile application
Got a moment between patients or on the move? If you're comfortable documenting on your phone, the mobile app makes editing quick and easy. Here's how to get started.
Steps to edit in the mobile app
Open a summary
Select the Edit button to begin editing.
Note:Â Edits are made to the summary; the transcript is a recap of the patient encounter and can't be edited.
Important: Once in Edit mode, you can’t add more DAX Copilot recordings for this visit, but you can still use Dragon to dictate additional details.
How to navigate the editing screen
The summary is organized into sections (history of present illness, social history, allergies, etc.).
[A] Select a section to bring up the keyboard and type your edits.
[B] Select Done to hide the keyboard.
[C] Use the Edit with voice microphone button to dictate using Dragon Medical One. Select again to stop dictating.
Mobile app editing best practices
-
Complete recording before editing. Ensure your recording is complete for an encounter before starting to edit. Once in Edit mode, you can't add more DAX Copilot recordings for this patient visit.
-
Review and edit for accuracy. AI will save you time, but it's not perfect. Always review and edit the summary before signing to ensure accuracy.
-
Use transcript to verify details. Use the patient encounter transcript as a reference to organize and complete your documentation. Verify details to ensure the full patient story is captured.
